Take Responsibility!

So, what if instead of blaming everyone else for everything going wrong in our lives, we took the high road. I mean take responsibility for our own choices and mistakes. There seems to be an epidemic of people pointing fingers at someone else for their state of mind, happiness, peace or thier circumstances.

It seems to me at least, to many it's easier to point the finger and say you did this to me!It's your fault my life is like this! My life is miserable because of you! You did this to me! Now, sometimes and in some cases this could very well be true. There are some wicked folk out there. Hopefully for you the reader this is not the case. But, that's another story altogether.

What I want to talk about is those folks who don't do their share, or their part. They won't get up to participate in their own lives. They expect everyone else to do it for them. What do I mean by that? Thanks for asking, because I am gonna tell you.

Like a parent blaming a teacher for not "making" their kids get better grades. But the parent will not sit down with their own children to ensure homework has been completed, and done so properly. And the teacher gets blamed for what goes on in the student's home, give me a break!

A person get's looked over for that sweet new position at work. Why, because they barely do the job they were hired to do. They barely show up for work, they clock in from lunch on time, while taking an extra 10 to 15 minutes on the clock. They hand off their assignments to their co-workers, because they just can't seem to to handle the work load. They're always not feeling well and always have to go home. Then when the newest hire, comes in and has a better work ethic, and integrity; well they get the job.

But you blame the boss for overlooking you, parent's blame the teacher, some of you blame your neighbor, some blame their family or friends. Again, sometimes this is true, but we're not talking about this seceniro. We are talking about YOU! You could've helped yourself by getting to bed on time, getting to work on time. Doing your job, you know what you were hired to do.

You might've helped your child by sitting down with them and asking them if they understood what they were supposed to do. Helped them with that project, not take over but assist them

Instead those folks blame everyone else for their state, the mess they are in their minds; is someone else's fault. Come on folks, let's own up, let's grow up. Stop blaming your boss, your child's teacher, other folk in general. Take responsibility, and move and on and hopefully move up. I'm just saying'
